Divi Effective Effects
Not every style and effect will work for your website.
Just because you can doesn’t mean you should.
Some of the pages in this site won’t make sense. You might see a peculiar layout with different colors and instructions. This is a Demo Site. A site created to explain the wonders of the Divi Theme. The theme has changed the way we look at websites. Now it is a pleasure to use if you understand the basics. The basics give us the foundation from which to build.
The effects achieved on this page are done inside the modules. Too much design will cause eye fatigue. Something we didn’t have to think about until we started looking at a computer screen for a length of time. The book or magazine isn’t strenuous to read. Reading on the web is very different.
This is a Text Module
The layout here is inside a text module. Do you know people skim read content on a web page. Unless, you’re able to layout the content on the page and it is pleasing to the eye.
This is a sign up for a Newsletter form. You will need to be connected to a 3rd party email client:
- Mail Chimp
- Constant Contact
There is a long list to choose from. Today, you have a collection of really good 3rd party email clients. You can connect with your visitors through your Newsletter.
This signup form isn’t active, meaning, it’s not connected so don’t fill it out.
Remember not to distract your reader with a popup or “in their face” have to sign up.
Let the reader make the determination based on the quality of your information. I still do not know what is so difficult about this concept, and why so many people could care less about the reader, or the potential customer.
The information goes below the picture and I would like to remove the toggle button if I can.
The toggle button is a function of the toggle module. It can have a different color, or it can be removed.
This is text placed into the toggle module. You have to be willing to experiment with the content and how it is positioned.
- How to remove the icon buton in the toggle module.
- Set the toggle status to open
- Add the media picture
- Go to the Advanced Tab in the module settings find CSS Class, type in custom-toggle.
- Scroll down to Toggle Icon and put in this code display:none; }
